The *average Minnesota pharmacy technician salary is $17.05 per hour or $35,460 per annum (Minnesota 2016 OES Wage Data). An entry level pharmacy tech in MN earns an average of $11.01 per hour whilst an experienced and/or certified pharmacy technician can earn upwards of $22.83 per hour depending on years of experience and work setting.

Certification Requirements

Pharmacy Technician certification is recognized but not mandatory in the state of Minnesota. If you decide to pursue certification, both PTCB or ExCPT are recognized in the state.
