How much does a Pharmacy Technician make in Montana?

The *average Montana pharmacy technician salary is $16.33 an hour or $33,970 a year (Montana 2016, OES Wage Data). An entry level pharmacy technician in MT earns an average of $10.70 per hour whilst an experienced and/or certified pharmacy technician can earn upwards of $21.02 per hour depending on years of experience and work setting.

Pharmacy Technician Certification

Certification is mandatory. The state of Montana require pharmacy technicians to be certified through either PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ICPT (Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians).
