Pharmacy Technician Programs in Lebanon, OH

Pharmacies, including those based in retail settings and in hospitals, long term care facilities and urgent care centers, have a larger role than ever before to play in the communities they operate in. With a large sector of the population - Baby Boomers - aging, and increasingly relying on medications to improve their lives, and increased access to healthcare coverage for everyone the products and services they offer are in high demand.

All these pharmacies need caring, capable staff to function, including certified pharmacy technicians. This is as true in Lebanon, Ohio and the surrounding areas as anywhere else.

Unlike many other states, Ohio does require that pharmacy technicians obtain formal certification to work. Candidates can choose to take the PTCE exam, administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the ExCPT, an offering administered by the National Health Career Association. But whichever they choose they will have to complete training at a pharmacy technician school in order to gain the skills and knowledge needed to pass either.
